MILNE, Dorothy May -Age 101, Middle Musquodoboit, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2015 in Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Lake Egmont, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Benjamin) Jodrey. She was a loving and giving woman with a wonderful sense of humour. She was happiest surrounded by family and friends. She had been very active in the community and church for many years. She joined the Elmview Rebekah Lodge October 31, 1946, transferring to Crescent Lodge # 87, Shubenacadie in 2001 where she was a member until her passing. She held the position of Noble Grand in the Lodge several times over the years. She knitted and crocheted and was always busy. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her children, Gordon (Donna), Carl (Lyn), Marion (Carl) DeBaie; grandchildren, Andrew (Sandra), Jonathan and Stephanie, Kylee (Darren), Jennifer; step grandchildren, Trudy and Lisa; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred and her grandson, Ryan. Visitation will be held at Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie from 7-9 pm Thursday, November 26. Funeral service will be 2pm Friday, November 27 in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Reception to follow at the church. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit in the spring. Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Middleton United Church or Braeside Home for Special Care.
