MILLER, Lawrence Rigby “Lornie” – 75, Lantz, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2015 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Lantz Siding, he was the eldest son of the late Lawrence “Bub” and Annie (Blois) Miller. Lornie was an avid sportsman, playing ball and hockey as well as coaching various teams throughout the years. He spent tireless hours working when the Lantz Recreation fields were established. He is survived by his partner Irene (Carroll) Milbery, daughters Lana McMichael and Dawn (Peter) Winter both of Bedford; brother Gary, Shubenacadie; grandsons Kyle, Ben and Noah. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Beverly. Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Ettinger Funeral Home. As per his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside committal service will be held 2pm June 6, 2015, in Christ Church Cemetery, Lantz. Rev Canon David Fletcher officiating. Donations may be made to the Lantz Recreation Society, 13 Church Street, Lantz, NS, B2S 1P4 or a charity of your choice.
